Eksote arranges and produces equal and easily attain­able social and health services for all resid­ents in South Karelia. 

Eksote is a joint muni­cipal authority of the South Karelia region, covering nine muni­cip­al­ities: Imatra, Lappeen­ranta, Lemi, Luumäki, Parikkala, Rautjärvi, Ruoko­lahti, Savitaipale, and Taipalsaari.
